Iii Uttaran

What is happening now? if you ask the question to housewives, they will answer this film series "Uttaran". It is an Indian TV series. It has become very famous among Indonesian, maybe because its story is 'interesting' for them. I am personally not interested to such TV series for I do not really like TV series. It starts from 4 in the afternoon to 7 in the evening, what a show. It lasts for 3 hours a day. I'm sure it is because it has a good rating on ANTV. That is why it has 3 hours a day of time. Because I am not really interested to "Uttaran", that is why I do not really know its story. But maybe I will start following this TV series.

It talks about love and friendship along with anger and hatred. Ichcha and Tapasya are two women from different background. Ichcha comes from a poor family whose her mother works for a family and the family is Tapasya's family. Even come from different background, they become good friends. It lasts till they grow mature. Tapasya marries with Veer and so does Ichcha with Vinn. As a matter of fact, Veer and Vinn fall in love with Ichcha, but she loves Veer. Vinn knows about that, and guess what, he kills himself. Tapasya knows about that as well. She decides to divorce with Veer and then Ichcha and Veer are in marry. but Tapasya is not the same as in childhood. Her love turns to hate to Ichcha. from that time Ichcha and Tapasya who were once friends are in such a bad relationship because Tapasya hates Ichcha now.

That is it what I know about "Uttaran". For killing time in afternoon, watching this TV series can be an option, especially if you are really interested to such TV series. So, instead of watching Korean dramas which are so mainstream as it is, you can watch this TV series.

I’d like to share about a TV show on NET TV, well known as “Custom Protection”. It’s such an interesting TV show. It shows us about how Indonesian Custom Officers who are in charge do their duty in terms of protecting our country from unexpected things, such as drugs, illegal things from other countries, illegal foreigners, etc. It shows us how they work, what they usually face in doing their duty, how hard their duty is, and many more. Then we can know that there are always officers who protect our country from the things everyday. This TV show takes place in airport, harbor, or even in a downtown of a big city

What they usually do, for instance, is checking passenger baggage, from and to other countries, in order to know what they are bringing. It’s important to do that because if the unexpected as well as illegal things were able to go through the “Filter” it can be a serious problem (as we can see, for instance, how dangerous drug is for young generation). When they are in a harbor, they will check the things from cargos, especially from other countries. They also check their passport, whether complete or not. If shipmen don’t have complete document, such as passport, then they will have to pass some kind tests from our officers. Maybe those are some things what they do everyday.

That is it. Maybe we don’t realize that dangers are watching our country everyday. But, fortunately our custom are always ready to help as well as protect our beloved country. It’s such a very important thing of course for a country to have such officers. We have to say thank you for all our officers, custom, soldiers, police officers, doctors, etc. for serving our country.
